“We routinely hold social service activities with the Cempaka Putih Islamic Hospital. We want to always support Indonesian children in need, thanks also to all donors who cannot be named,” said Dr. Rininta Christabella.
On Saturday, 26 August 2023, Dr. dr. Aditya Wardhana, Sp.BPRE, Subsp. LBL(K), led cleft lip surgeries for a number of children under five. Incidentally, he also works with Dr. Rininta Christabella.
“Cleft lip is a gap in the lip, palate and also the gums. The main goal of surgery is to improve the aesthetic shape of the lips and function,” said Dr. dr. Aditya Wardhana, Sp.BPRE, Subsp. LBL(K).
“Thank you also to Lets Share Indonesia, which has helped a lot, especially pediatric patients, starting from the cleft lip and burn phase,” he continued.
On the same occasion, Dr. Aditya Wardhana as a plastic surgeon also shared first aid efforts for children who had burns from Korean glue or super glue.
“Burns are not only caused by heat, but also chemicals, radiation and electricity. Any injuries that cause skin damage even go deeper,” he said.
Doctor Aditya Wardhana explains first aid for children who have burns caused by Korean glue. According to him, the most important thing is that parents don’t panic.
“Actually, it’s enough to just run the running water on the skin that is in contact with the Korean glue. The water is neutral, it releases its adhesive power, it might take a long time. It’s best to take it to the hospital immediately,” he explained.
