Draw for the Women’s World Cup-2023 will take place on October 22

The draw for the Women’s World Cup 2023 (July 20 – August 20)disputed in Australia and New Zealand, will take place on October 22 in the New Zealand city of Auckland, announced FIFA on the night of Thursday to Friday.

The ceremony to distribute to the 32 nations classified in eight groups will take place in the emblematic Aotea Centerfrom the economic capital of New Zealand, the institution specified in its statement.

“Preparations are going from strength to strength to host the world’s largest single-discipline women’s competition in Australia and New Zealand,” FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura was quoted as saying in the statement.

The 2023 World Cup, to which the United States team arrives as champion of the last two editionswill start on July 20, 2023 at Eden Park in Auckland, and will end with the final played on August 20 in Sydney, at Stadium Australia.

This ninth edition of the Women’s World will be the first to have 32 teams. So far, ten nations have managed to secure their qualification: Australia, Spain, France, Japan, New Zealand, the Philippines, China, South Korea, Sweden and Vietnam.
