The Blues are almost guaranteed to participate in Euro 2024 after their 2-0 victory against Ireland. The battle for qualification rages in the other groups.
[Mis à jour le 11 septembre 2023 à 16h30] Thursday September 7, France beat Ireland without trembling (2-0) at the Parc des Princes, thus moving a little closer to qualifying for Euro 2024. With five victories in five matches, this success their allows us to tackle the next big match against the Netherlands on October 13 without stress. The Oranjes themselves beat Ireland on Sunday (2-1), but still have to take points because they are still tied with the Greeks in the standings. Pool H also tightens with Denmark’s victory in Finland (0-1). Four teams stand on one point for qualification (Slovenia, Denmark, Finland, Kazakhstan). Italy was only able to obtain a draw in North Macedonia (1-1), the team which eliminated them in the 2022 World Cup play-offs. The Squadra Azzura already has its back against the wall and will have to beat Ukraine on Tuesday September 12 to preserve its chances of qualification. Albania (coached by former Olympique Lyonnais coach Sylvinho) beat Poland 2-0, and took the lead in the group by putting Robert Lewandowski’s team in a very bad position in the perspective of qualification.
This Monday evening, Armenia faces Croatia at 6:00 p.m., in a decisive match between two teams tied on points. In the same group, Wales must win in Latvia at 8:45 p.m. to preserve a small chance of qualifying, while they are six points behind Turkey, leader of the group. In Group J, Portugal, largely the leader with five victories in as many matches, hosts Luxembourg at 8:45 p.m. The Luxembourgers are second with 10 points, tied with Slovakia who will face Liechtenstein at the same time. Finally, in this same group, Iceland, almost eliminated, will welcome Bosnia-Herzegovina, who can still dream of qualifying in the event of victory.
Qualifications for Euro 2024 must decide between 53 teams divided into 10 groups (seven groups of 5 and three groups of 6). After the draw carried out on October 9, 2022 from Frankfurt in Germany, host country of the competition, the French team, present in pot 2, finds itself in pool B with the Netherlands, Ireland, Greece and Gibraltar… All groups:

Euro 2024 news and matches
The next Euro football tournament in 2024 will open on June 14, 2024 at the Allianz Arena in Munich for the opening match before closing on July 14, 2024 with the final at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.
Euro 2024 will take place in a single country in 2024, in Germany. The competition was awarded by UEFA in September 2018. Three groups of venues have been established for this Euro: North – North East (Berlin, Hamburg, Leipzig), West (Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Cologne) and South (Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart).
