Experts advise the cabinet: no billions to Tata as long as health does not receive more attention


The Dutch government should not give Tata Steel a mega subsidy for greening its steel factories as long as the company no longer takes the health of local residents into account. Tata is still not open about the pollution of the environment, and bases itself on ‘minimum standards’. Moreover, Tata wants to incur as few costs as possible. This must change, says an expert group chaired by Marcel Levi.
