MEXICO CITY (process.com.mx).- The Mayan Train convoy in which President Andrés Manuel López Obrador traveled this Saturday stopped for more than an hour when it passed through Yaxcabá, in Yucatán.
A video published by El Universal shows the Mayan Train convoy stopped and watched by soldiers. When the reporters approached, one of the soldiers told them: “You can’t record, they are doing maintenance on the car.”
The train stopped at approximately 2:46 p.m. this Saturday near Chichén Itzá. The video allowed us to see Andrés Manuel López Beltrán, one of the president’s sons, as well as members of the cabinet, inside a car.
Another soldier recorded by Radio Formula was questioned by reporters about the damage to the convoy, to which he responded that it was “evidence,” and closed the cabin door.
On Friday night, the reporter Laura Brugés, from Radio Formula, denounced that members of the National Guard prevented the media from doing their job, asked them for identification and took pictures of them when they tried to record the arrival of the Mayan Train in Mérida.
