Hurricane Franklin: This is its CURRENT location and its path


“Franklin” is now a category 2 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson scale and its center is located very far from the Mexican coast, so it does not represent danger.according to a notice issued by the National Metereological Service (SMN), official source of the Government of Mexico in climate matters.

In its distance to the nearest place, Hurricane “Franklin” is located 325 km west-northwest of Bermuda and 2,250 km northeast of the coast of Quintana Roo.

The current movement of the cyclone is towards the northeast (45°) at 20 km/h. It maintains maximum sustained winds of 175 km/h and gusts of 215 km/h.

The SMN stressed that due to its distance and trajectory, “Franklin” does not represent a danger to Mexican territory.

The system is expected to maintain category 2 until tomorrow, when around noon, it drops to 1just when it is located 3 thousand 015 km northeast of Cabo Catoche, Quintana Roo.
