In cardiac fashion, Charros women take the second game of the series against Diablos

MEXICO CITY (apro).- In a game full of drama until the last pitch, Charros Femenil defeated Diablos Rojos 11-10, in the second game of the semifinals at the Ciudad Universitaria stadium.

With the result, those from Jalisco are one victory away from advancing to the Queen Series, in the Mexican Softball League (LMS).

The visiting team took the lead in the second inning thanks to six runs, after a grand slam courtesy of Elizabeth Robert that left the game 6-1. Diablos tried to get back into the game with two runs, but their pleasure was short-lived as Charros scored twice at the top of the fourth roll to go up 8-3.

In the last two innings, Diablos tied the game and made the 1,500 fans who gathered in the stadium vibrate.

Karla Téllez, who replaced Yamerky Guevara, scored zeros in the fifth and sixth, while the offense woke up with two attacks: one with one score and one with four, with which the local team tied the score 8-8.

The game went to extra innings, where the visitors won. Charros attacked with three scores that were unattainable for the locals, who scored twice and left the tying race in the anteroom.

The third game of the series between Charros and Diablos will be played next Friday at 7:30 p.m.
