Liverpool advanced to the UEFA Champions League final with a 5-2 aggregate win over Villarreal on Tuesday.
Villarreal took the lead with an early goal from Boulaye Dia in the third minute at the Estadio de la Ceramica in Spain.
The hosts doubled their lead through French midfielder Francis Coquelin’s header in the 41st minute.
Liverpool narrowed the gap when Fabinho scored from close range in the 62nd minute.
The Reds also equalized through Luis Diaz’s header in the 67th minute.
Liverpool then took the lead through a quick counter-attack by Senegal star Sadio Mane in the 74th minute with a flick of his left foot.
In the 85th minute, Villareal played with 10 men after Etienne Capoue received a red card.
The second leg match ended 3-2 in favor of the English club.
The Reds will face match winners Real Madrid versus Manchester City at the Stade de France in Paris in the final on 28 May.
Real Madrid will host Manchester City at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in the second leg of their semi-final on Wednesday.
