Johannesburg: 64 women and children died in a massive fire in a five-storey building in Johannesburg, South Africa. 43 people were injured. They have been admitted to the hospital. Seven of the dead are children. Emergency Management Services said a two-year-old child was among the dead.
As soon as the fire was reported, the fire brigade started rescue operations. It is not known what caused the fire.
The fire broke out last night at midnight. Many people were trapped inside the building when the fire broke out. The front gate was locked so people couldn’t escape.
