MLB: Red Sox beat the Angels; Devers and Martínez give him the victory

Dominican third baseman rafael devers and designated hitter JD Martinez they shot a home run each to lead the Boston Red Sox offense, who this Tuesday once again had a good pitching job from Michael Wachto beat the Los Angeles Angels 4-0 by shutout.

Devers hit his fourth homer of the season in the first inning, with nobody in circulation, off right-hander Noah Syndergaard, who started for the Angels, putting the Red Sox ahead on the scoreboard.

For his part, Syndergaard (2-1) lost for the first time this season, despite throwing a quality game, as evidenced by his seven innings of three runs, in which he struck out three batters.

For the Red Sox, Devers went 1-for-4, with one run scored and one RBI; Dominican Franchy Cordero went 2-3, with a run scored and Hernández failed in four at-bats and drove in a run. For the Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout hit one hit in three visits to the plate.
