Moscow announced strikes on hundreds of areas where Ukrainian forces are based

The Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday that rocket troops and artillery had struck nearly 550 Ukrainian army bases overnight, Interfax reports.

“Rocket forces and artillery hit 18 command posts, 543 areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment, an ammunition depot near the village of Lyubomirovka, Kherson region, during the night,” Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Saturday.

According to him, these strikes eliminated 23 artillery units of the Ukrainian army at firing positions in the areas of Verkhnekamenskoye, Krasny Lyman, Drobyshevo, Yarovaya, Korobochkino, Gusarovka.

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that up to 100 Ukrainian servicemen, five command posts and two ammunition depots were destroyed by Russian high-precision missiles in the areas of the settlements of Disputed and Berestovoe near Donetsk. Also disabled 23 units of Ukrainian military equipment.

“Operational-tactical and army aviation defeated 43 areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” a spokesman for the ministry said.

In total, according to the ministry, 165 aircraft, 125 helicopters, 858 drones, 304 anti-aircraft missile systems, 3,051 tanks and armored vehicles, 372 multiple rocket launchers, 1,507 artillery pieces and mortars, 2,898 vehicles were destroyed during the military operation in Ukraine.
