Pakistani PM thanks Turkey for project of high-speed bus line

Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif thanked Turkey for implementing a project to build a high-speed bus line (metrobus) in the capital.

“Ankara supported Islamabad both in good times and in bad times,” the head of government said at the opening of the metrobus line connecting the center of the capital with the international airport.

The transport project was implemented by the Turkish company Albayrak Holding.

Sharif noted that Turkey and China helped to complete the project.

The Prime Minister emphasized that fraternal relations have historically developed between the peoples of Turkey and Pakistan. “President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is a modern leader who has strengthened the Turkish economy, the builder of a powerful Turkey. He helped Pakistan in difficult times and in times of peace,” the politician said.

In 2015, when Nawaz Sharif was the prime minister of Pakistan, the Rawalpindi-Islamabad metrobus line project was implemented.

In 2017, construction began on a metrobus line from Islamabad to the airport. Part of the project was completed, but it was not possible to complete it completely.
