Small operators take more than 700,000 clients from the large ones before the concentration of the sector

In the coming days, approval from Brussels is expected for the largest operation in a long time in the telecommunications sector in Spain. Orange and MásMóvil aspire to be a single company in the coming months, becoming the leader in several telephone businesses. For its part, Vodafone already has regulatory approval for its sale to Zegona. But while large companies are reorganizing, small operators continue to gain ground thanks to their commercial aggressiveness: in the last year they have stolen more than 700,000 customers.

Companies like Digi, Finetwork and others have been stealing clients from large companies based on price offers, to which they are now adding new services such as the arrival of the first 5G rates. Its progress has been continuous for more than five years, the same time that large companies have been struggling with profitability problems that have led to the changes that will occur in the coming months.
