Telkom Reveals the Origin of the Telkomsigma Case Dragging the Name of the BUMN Minister

Attorney General’s Office (Attorney General) is currently investigating alleged acts of corruption in the form of engineering a fictitious project by PT Sigma Cipta Caraka (SCC) or Telkomsigma 2017-2018 period. Regarding this matter, Telkomas the parent company, opened its voice.

Through Telkom’s attorney, Juniver Girsang, said that this case was dragging names Bakhtiar Rosyidi, namely the former Director of Human Capital & Finance Telkomsigma. Meanwhile, he was named a suspect in the PT Graha Telkom Sigma case, which is a subsidiary of Telkomsigma.

Juniver said that Bakhtiar then filed a civil lawsuit at the Central Jakarta District Court with case number 160/Pdt.G/2023/PN.Jkt.Pst.

Juniver said the lawsuit was a lawsuit against the law aimed at BUMN Minister Erick Thohir and several active Telkom directors who did not serve in the period in question.

“We need to convey/emphasize this because the news that has developed/circulated is very detrimental to Telkom,” said Juniver in his written statement, Thursday (5/10/2023). He then explained the root of the problem in the case Telkomsigma.

“That on October 3 2023, the Central Jakarta District Court handed down an interim decision in this case stating that the Central Jakarta District Court had no authority to examine and try case number 160/Pdt.G/2023/PN. Jkt.Pst,” said Juniver.

He views the lawsuit filed by Baktiar Rosyidi as an attempt to hamper the legal process and/or divert public attention from his status as a suspect in criminal acts of corruption at the Attorney General’s Office, where in his position as President Director of PT Graha Telkom Sigma he is suspected of being involved in six fictitious projects in 2017-2018 which were detrimental to the state. amounting to IDR 354.3 billion.

“That lawsuit by brother Baktiar Rosyidi accused several active directors Telkom “We have deliberately made incorrect Telkom financial reports in 2017-2018, apart from making up the substance, the lawsuit is also misdirected,” he said.

Furthermore, Juniver said, because he had placed/involved the Minister of BUMN and several active Telkom Directors who did not serve as Telkom Directors in 2017-2018.

“This accusation can be qualified as slander and defamation (character assassination) against the individuals mentioned in Bakhtiar Rosyidi’s lawsuit and against Telkom because opinions have been formed as if Telkom and several other parties were involved in preparing Telkom’s financial reports which were not true,” he stressed.

Telkom, as stated by Juniver, even though in fact it has nothing to do with this problem.

“This accusation is very detrimental, especially to Telkom as a public/open company because it has been bothered with requests for clarification by the Indonesian Stock Exchange regarding accusations that are baseless according to facts and according to law,” said Juniver.

“Telkom’s financial reports have followed international standards and then been audited and subject to examination by one of the largest independent auditors in the world, Ernst & Young (EY) and also the Financial Audit Agency (BPK) according to state-recognized accounting standards,” he concluded.
