On Tuesday, the first stage of the 2022 Archery World Championship starts in Antalya.
According to the Turkish Archery Federation, 340 athletes from 47 countries of the world will take part in the championship.
The championship will end on Sunday, April 24th.
Turkey will be represented at the championship by 6 athletes among men and women in a classic bow and 4 athletes in a compound bow.
President of the Turkish Archery Federation Abdulla Topaloglu told the Anadolu Agency that the first open archery tournament of this season will be held in Antalya.
According to Topaloglu, over the past years, the south of Turkey has established itself as one of the world’s centers of archery.
“The World Championship will be held on the territory of the Centennial Archery Club in Antalya. The final will take place in the area of the famous Konyaalti beach. We trust our athletes. We hope for new medals in the piggy bank of the country,” he said.
