In the post shared on AFAD’s social media account, it was stated that those who want to volunteer can apply via e-Government.
Making evaluations to the AA correspondent on the subject, AFAD President Yunus Sezer stated that AFAD volunteers have been actively involved in the field for 2 years and said:
“They took part in the Elazig and Izmir earthquakes, Vefa Social Support groups, and the floods in Giresun, Rize and Artvin. Lastly, 700 AFAD volunteers took part in the Western Black Sea floods in Kastamonu, Sinop and Bartın. He undertook many tasks, from cleaning the places of mud brought by the flood, to the transportation of household goods, to the distribution of food and water.”
Sezer thanked AFAD volunteers for the initiative they took on behalf of their country and the world, and reminded that all citizens aged 15 and over can easily become AFAD volunteers via e-Government.
