The people’s initiative Save Cal Macià-Casa Vallmanya has presented these disputes a recurs d’alçada against the decision of the Department of Culture not to classify the house as a Cultural Heritage of National Interest (BCIN). The promoters of the popular initiative come to qualify this first report “authentic nyap”. Consider that they will write people “who do not gather the lectures, the coneixements and the expertise necessary in the matter.”
To the petition presented by these dimecres davant dels Serveis Territorials de Cultura de Lleida they have attached documentation that compiles the published reports of the darrers anys and also of the unpublished that contributes historiographical novelties. “Widely justify the symbolism of the house of the family of Francesc Macià and its relevant paper in the agricultural, social, economic and political history of Western and Catalonia”, they point out.
In short, they demand the Government to include Vallmanya and its complex of buildings with BCIN in the category of Lloc històric dins the catàleg of the catalan cultural patrimony. Note that això would suppose to endow the mateixa administration with majors and most effective eines to preserve these immobles.
