Turkish Consulate General in Paris attacked by PKK sympathizers

The Consulate General of Turkey in Paris was attacked by sympathizers of the terrorist organization PKK.

According to information obtained by the correspondent of the Anadolu Agency (AA) from diplomatic sources on Thursday, the Consulate General was attacked with explosive devices of the firework type on the night of May 12 at around 02:30 (local time) by unidentified people.

This attack damaged the window and the exterior wall of the building. The French authorities have opened an investigation.

Furthermore, information has been obtained that groups affiliated with the PKK claim responsibility for the attack.

In a message shared on Twitter, the prefect of Hauts-de-Seine, Laurent Hottiaux, condemned the attack on the Consulate General of Turkey in Paris.

The prefect’s message also shows his solidarity with the Consul General of Turkey and the consular staff.
