MORELIA.- The Ministry of Public Security of Michoacán reported this Saturday that A total of 26 people were arrested this Saturday in an inter-institutional operational action carried out in the Felipe Carrillo Puerto ‘La Ruana’ Estate, located in the municipality of Buenavista Tomatlán.
The arrest was made of 20 men and six women who claimed to be members of a civil self-defense group.
A source from the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) informed EFE that the detainees are being investigated for alleged links with the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), one of the 14 criminal organizations that are fighting with blood and fire for control of activities. illicit in Michoacán.
The 26 people were arrested in the main square of the town of La Ruanain possession of 15 assault rifles and two pistols, as well as 10 magazines, dozens of useful cartridges and tactical equipment such as bulletproof vests.
