“North Korea’s nuclear weapons programs are a threat not only to us but to the security of Northeast Asia.” However, Yoon said that “the door to dialogue will remain open to resolve this threat peacefully”.

“We are ready to work with the international community to present the ‘bold plan’ that will greatly strengthen its economy if the North truly goes through full denuclearization,” Yoon said. he said.

The wife of US Vice President Kamala Harris, Doug Emhoff, Chinese Vice President Wang Chishan, Japanese Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa and former Japanese Prime Minister Hatoyama Yukio attended the ceremony.
