Zelensky is ready to talk with Putin, but without intermediaries and ultimatums

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is ready for negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but on the basis of dialogue, not ultimatums.

He stated this in an interview with the Italian TV channel Rai 1, published in the Telegram channel of the head of state, the European Truth resource reports.

“I am ready to speak with Putin. But only with him. Without his intermediaries. And on the terms of dialogue, and not on the terms of ultimatums,” Zelensky said.

He noted that the issue of negotiations is becoming more complicated every day, since every day new facts of crimes of the Russian military in the liberated territories appear. “Today, dialogue is impossible without a strong position on Russia’s actions. Everyone is united in the need to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine, at least that’s what European leaders, the USA, Canada, etc. tell me. Without a strong army, Ukraine will not be strong even at the negotiating table, and we need this strength,” Zelensky said.

The President added that “the path when we will be at the table with a glass together with Moscow has been passed, this is impossible.” “There must be a pragmatic dialogue and the desire of Russia is necessary,” Zelensky added.
